Good to be back

if just for a day

As some of you know I’ve been working down south for a year, which explains the absence of coloured horse and man shouting “whoa mare” as he desperately tries not to overtake the Field Master.

Bu last Saturday I was back in the North for the weekend. How I’ve missed a decent supermarket (Booths), water that doesn’t fur up the kettle and tastes proper, the scenery in the Vale, and, most of all, my friends from the Hunt. It was great to turn up to the meet on Saturday and surprise those who were out for Dalton Hall. All the handshakes and hugs were lovely. Hopefully those of you I missed will be at the Hunt Ball next week where we’ll catch up on a years worth of gossip.
