The threatened cold weather for the weekend fortuitously managed to wait until Sunday, and those who rose early on Saturday were greeted with fine weather, which no doubt contributed to the large crowds.

Ace photographers Michael Markey and John Vine were weilding their cameras for the Whittington Races gallery.

From all the Hayhurst family to our friends at the Vale of Lune who supported us on Saturday and for all their kindness shown since. Special thanks go to Clive, Andrea, Mel, Paul and Debbie, Cleggy, Ian and Jonathan, Becky and of course to John Gilliver and all his team.
