Catforth Hound Amble & Farmer Dance

Saturday 26th September 2009,

Hound Amble, Catforth

By kind Invitation of Mr & Mrs P.Conway.

A very well attended and popular hound amble. Of course it takes effort to make an event of this size run so smoothly, so many thanks to all involved, especially Paul and Debbie Conway.

Debbie Conway
A few Flowers As Thank You

It was quite thrilling to see how many people had turned up at the Plough at Eaves to see the “horses and doggies” as one child was overheard to say. I’m sure that even Clive would have forgiven them for not calling them hounds. Thanks also to Mike and Doreen at the The Plough for putting on port and nibbles which were very welcome.

If you enjoyed the visit on the amble please support those who support us and visit them again. Mike and Dorren can be called on 01772 690233 to make your booking.

There were plenty of photographers in attendance at the amble, and we have now created a Catforth Gallery.

Farmers Dance, Arkholme

What a busy day!

By the time we’d boxed up, taken the horses home, groomed, fed and watered them and turned them out, there was just enough time to repeat the exercise for ourselves and set out for the Farmers Dance at Arkholme.

The village hall was packed with farmers, hunt members and hunt supporters.

Thanks to all the ladies who worked in the kitchen, and all hunt members who provided the puddings.
